Lawai is a nice small town next to famous "Sunny Poipu". There is grocery shopping in Koloa (also 5 minutes away) and a small country market that sells fruit and drinks nearby. Also, a really neat Niihau shell store is in Lawai where you can buy shell jewelry and other interesting Hawaiian crafts. I highly recommend this town, because it is unique and there is a lot of the Aloha Spirit there.
